James, a Southern California (SoCal) native, is also a licensed California Architect and the Broker-Officer and Founder of Costera Luxury Properties. He graduated from Woodbury University and holds a Bachelor of Architecture (BArch) professional 5-year degree. James also has an Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) post-graduate degree from the Paul Merage School of Business at UC Irvine.
Starting with Coldwell Banker (CB) and throughout their 20+ years of experience, James and his wife Margret have been the recipients of numerous top production awards for gross commission income (GCI), closed sales transactions, and listings taken. Margret, originally from Egypt, speaks fluent Arabic. Like her husband James, Margret is also the Founder and a Broker-Associate of Costera Luxury Properties.
Additionally, James is also certified by the National Association of REALTORS (NAR) as a Short Sales and Foreclosure Resource (SFR) agent and as an Internet Marketing Professional (e-PRO).
In December 2010, James and Margret left CB and started their own independent real estate brokerage, establishing Hoppe Realty. In 2020, the Hoppe's incorporated their real estate brand under the name PreviewOC Real Estate, Inc., and in 2021, launched Costera Luxury Properties, which serves the Coastal Southern California luxury real estate market and offers top-notch professional real estate services to the sales and marketing of high-end luxury residential properties.
Currently, James and Margret continue to maintain their high level of real estate sales expertise and knowledge focusing on Southern California as luxury property experts.
